Pekin graduate Robert Brown is in the spotlight this week. He is the son of Todd and Gail Brown, and has two sisters, Regina and Maggie.
While in school Robert was involved in football, basketball, track, baseball, band, and NHS. He also worked cleaning the salon.
What's your favorite school memory/OR what will you remember the most? I will remember the teachers and staff that made being here so enjoyable.
If you could go back and change one thing, what would it be? Go out for football freshman year.
Finish this sentence, “I could not live without…” Sports.
What's the best and/or worst thing about being a senior? It being your last time for everything is the best and the worst.
Which teacher or staff member had the biggest impact on you and why? Mrs. Goudy because she has always made me want to be better and she is a good role model.
What’s your advice to incoming high school freshmen? Don’t be afraid to make new friends or relationships with people you don’t know.
What are your plans after graduation? Go to William Penn for three years and then transfer to Iowa State for the last year for mechanical engineering.
What is one outrageous thing you want to try in your lifetime? Learn “hello” in 30 different languages.
If you could move anywhere in the world, where would you go and why? New York because I would enjoy living in a big city and have something new to check out all the time.
Who has been your biggest influence and why? My Mom because she got us through so much when I was younger providing for me and my sister on her own.
