In the spotlight this week is Pekin graduate Will Adam. He is the son of Brent and Lena Adam and has two brothers, Henry and Leo.
While in school he was involved in FFA, student council, Ruritan Rising Seniors, football, basketball, track, and baseball. He also worked at Middlekoop Seed Corn, Bennetts Ag Research, and on the farm at home.
What's your favorite school memory/OR what will you remember the most? Shaving our heads after the North Linn playoff win.
If you could go back and change one thing, what would it be? Asking for help more often.
Finish this sentence, “I could not live without…” My family.
What's the best and/or worst thing about being a senior? The best thing is knowing your about to be done with high school. The worst thing is all the lasts throughout the sports with your friends.
Which teacher or staff member had the biggest impact on you and why? Mr.V, he has helped me so much when I've needed help in math (which happens a lot). Not only does he help with math he also is a person I can always talk to, make jokes with, and ask for some advice. This is why Mr. V has had the biggest impact on me.
What’s your advice to incoming high school freshmen? Ask for help, It’s the teachers job to help you so just ask.
What are your plans after graduation? I plan on studying education and coaching, while also running track and playing football in college.
What is one outrageous thing you want to try in your lifetime? I want to go Rocky Mountain Elk hunting in Colorado.
If you could move anywhere in the world, where would you go and why? The Rockys in Colorado, because of the hunting game out there.
Who has been your biggest influence and why? Coach Weber, he is my biggest influence because of the lessons he has taught me. Not only did he teach me how to play football, or how to watch film, and how to lift weights. He taught me that no matter how high my goal is if I work hard enough I will reach them.
