Pekin starts season with back-to-back wins

Pekin put together a dominant performance against Van Buren County on Friday.

Will Adam completed six of nine passes for 169 yards and two touchdowns.

Sven Dahlstrom ran for 157 yards and two scores, while Riley Smith followed with 152 yards and one touchdown.

Robert Brown carried the ball twice for four yards and a touchdown, Will Adam rushed for 53 yards and a touchdown, and Henry Adam had 34 yards and a touchdown.

Henry Adam led in receiving with 76 yards on three catches. Deklan Hampton had one reception for 40 yards, while Dahlstrom and Brown both caught touchdown passes in the victory.

Will Adam had 10 tackles including six solo; Nolan Glick and Dahlstrom each finished with 5.5 tackles; Tanner Adrian had five; and Kasey Davis and Cal Miller each had 4.5.
