Pekin suffers two losses in final week of regular season basketball

The Panthers faced Louisa-Muscatine last Tuesday, where a low scoring final quarter led to their 31-44 loss.

Anna Hadley had a strong game, putting up 15 points for Pekin while pulling down 10 rebounds. Alex Parsons added six points and had eight rebounds and four assists. Abby Guise had four points in the game along with nine rebounds and five assists. Renae Eubanks and Paislee Coleman each added three points, while Eubanks had six rebounds.

Central Lee 52, Pekin 43

The final busy weekend of regular season girls’ basketball took place last Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Southeast Iowa Super Conference teams battled in the 2024 SEISC Shootout.

The Panthers dropped a game at Central Lee in the SEISC Shootout.

Pekin led by one going into halftime, but struggled in the third quarter.

Anna Hadley had a monster game in the loss, going for 22 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Panthers. Alex Parsons finished the night with 17 points, including three 3-pointers. Renae Eubanks had 12 rebounds, and Chloe Glosser had five assists.
