Pekin’s track banquet held in June.

The Pekin high school track teams held their banquet early in June. Coach Davis Eidahl gave out awards for the season.
Being named to the Hall of Fame were Chloe Glosser in both the 1500m and 3000m, and Anna Hadley in both the shot put and discus. Brady McWhirter made the Hall of Fame in the 3200m and the 1600m. Kayse Miller and Abby Guise were each named to the Hall of Fame for the high jump. Also named to the Hall of Fame was the 4x800 relay team of Audrey Fariss, Alex Parsons, Brooke Miller, and Chloe Glosser; the distance medley team of Lilly Reneker, Sabrina Reneker, Audrey Fariss, and Chloe Glosser; and the 4x200 relay team of Claire Roth, Lilly Reneker, Audrey Fariss, and Sabrina Reneker.
The 4x200 team of Claire Roth, Lilly Reneker, Audrey Fariss, and Sabrina Reneker was recognized for breaking the school record.
Track members competing at the state meet were Lilly Reneker, Sabrina Reneker, Kayse Miller, Anna Hadley, Lauren Steigleder, Alex Parsons, Audrey Fariss, Brooke Miller, Chloe Glosser, Claire Roth, JaeDon Wolver, and Brady McWhirter.
Placing in the state meet for Pekin were: Anna Hadley, state champion, discus. Anna Hadley, third, shot put. Chloe Glosser, fifth, 1500m run. Audrey Fariss, Alex Parsons, Brooke Miller, Chloe Glosser, fifth, 4x8 relay. Kayse Miller, seventh, high jump.
Pekin’s girls’ team were the conference champs, and district champs, and placed ninth at state. The boys’ team placed fifth in both the conference and district meets.
