Pekin’s undefeated start comes to a halt at Columbus

Robert Brown had five kick returns for a total of 103 yards. Brown also had eight receptions for 90 yards and a touchdown.

The Wildcats scored 35 points in the first quarter to put a stamp on the game early. Pekin could never recover, as the Wildcats led 49-8 at half and 56-16 after three.

Pekin’s Will Adam ran for 89 yards and a score, and also threw for 139 yards and a touchdown. Robert Brown racked up 90 yards and a touchdown receiving, and also found the end zone on the ground. Sven Dahlstrom carried the ball eight times for 17 yards, while Henry Adam had four carries.
