Perkins celebrates birthday and being Eastern Star member

Martha Perkins was 108 years old on March 4, 2025. She resides at Sylvan Woods Assisted Living in Ottumwa where she walks to each meal and events during the day.
She was encouraged to join the Order of the Eastern Star when she was 18 years old. Her mother was a member and her grandfather, Allan Hawk was a prominent member of Masons and Shriners in Martinsburg, Iowa.
On her 108th Birthday she was a member of the Eastern Star for 90 years. Few people reach that accomplishment.
