Quinton Gaines

Quinton Gaines is in the spotlight this week. The Pekin graduate is the son of Michelle and Jim Gaines. He has four siblings, twin brother Levi, and older siblings Bradley and Diana.

Q: What school activities or clubs were you involved in and/or where did you work during school?

A: Band, Choir, Jazz Band, Marching Band, Speech, Theater, Pekin IT internship, Quiz Bowl, Spanish Club. Also work at Mike’s Parts and Service.

Q: What’s your advice to underclassmen?

A: You're not Cool. Stop pretending to be.

Q: What is your favorite school memory?

A: Prom

Q: What are three words to describe yourself?

A: Smart. Nerdy. Blunt.

Q: What is your favorite quote/saying?

A: “Each day you must choose, the pain of discipline or the pain of regret.”

Q: What are your future plans?

A: Attend Iowa State and get a degree in Aerospace Engineering.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world where would it be and why?

A: Iceland because of the beautiful scenery.

Q: If you could meet anyone from the past or present who would it be and why?

A: Julius Caesar. It would be cool to see how he was as a person.

Q: Who is your biggest influence and why?

A: My parents and my grandpa. They encourage me to be the best I can be.
