Read Beyond the Beaten Path this summer at the Richland Public Library
May. 19, 2022 10:43 am
Richland Public Library is excited to announce the children’s programs for this summer! So get ready, get set, and go to the library, starting Tuesday, May 31, 2022, to sign up for Read Beyond the Beaten Path, the Library’s 2022 Summer Reading Program theme.
The children’s programs will run from Tuesday, June 7 through Tuesday, July 21 and are geared for children entering kindergarten through fifth grade next fall. The main programs will be held on Tuesdays from 3:00 to 4 p.m. and will meet in the library’s Meeting Room. In addition to the Tuesday programs, the library will be offering a “Lego & Building” program on Wednesdays and a “Tween Club” on Thursdays.
The library will continue its incentivized reading program so children can earn prizes for reading. The more time they spending reading, the more prizes they earn! Studies show that children who read over the summer maintain their reading skills and are better prepared to start their next school year in the fall.
To learn more about the summer reading adventure at the library, please call (319-456-6541), email (richlib@natel.net) or check out the library’s website (www.richland.lib.ia.us).
