Washington County 7th-8th grade 4-H’ers are invited to attend Region 19 4-H Trip to St. Louis, Missouri April 4-5. Overnight will be spent at the Challenger Learning Center participating in the Space Mission Program and Rocket Program. 4-H’ers will visit the St. Louis Aquarium, Grant’s Farm, have lunch at Union Station, tram ride to the top of the St. Louis Arch and enjoy a fun evening meal with arcade play time!
Iowa, Keokuk, and Johnson County 4-H’ers will also attend, so it’s perfect time to make new 4-H friends and explore this Midwest city.
Space is limited and registrations will be accepted online first come, first serve. Registration is open until Feb. 7 (or until trip is filled at) https://tinyurl.com/4hStLou2025. The final registration cost is $270 due to Washington County Extension. This is a discounted rate thanks to Washington County 4-H 2024 Big Lucky Clover Raffle proceeds. This fee will cover tickets, transportation, lodging, insurance and meals and arcade playtime. Additional scholarships are available upon request to amygreen@iastate.edu.
The Region 19 group will travel on a charter bus departing from Iowa City or Williamsburg. Parents are responsible for transportation to and from camp bus stop.
Adult chaperones will be needed, and half their registration fee is covered by Washington County Extension. Please contact amygreen@iastate.edu if you are interested in this opportunity to work with 4-H youth and enjoy St. Louis.
