Pekin FFA hosted Trunk or Treat and the Richland Community Club hosted Mystery Bingo in Richland on Saturday evening, October 18.
Over 200 trick or treaters and their families enjoyed the 30 trunks that were set up handing out candy and other goodies and offering games for them to play. There was also face painting and a balloon artist creating things for the kids.
The FFA cooked up hamburgers and hot dogs in the shelter, with approximately 350 meals being served.
Mystery Bingo was played in the fire station throughout the evening with Julie Hisel called the games. There were several cash prizes, food cards, cookie plates, and fall arrangement given as prizes. Prize contributions and donations to the Community Club for the Bingo event were given by Corrine Reed, Sallie Hayes, Sines Plumbing, Krave Nutrition, Federation Bank, Ottumwa Culver’s, Ottumwa Jersey Mikes, and Richland Community Club. Much thanks to all who contributed food and helped serve the dessert bars, popcorn, coffee and hot chocolate. Special thanks to the firemen for the use of the fire station.
Pekin FFA wants to extend a special thank you to all trunk participants.
