Scholarship available to Keokuk County students

The Keokuk County Soil and Water Conservation District Commissioners along with the Conservation Districts of Iowa are sponsoring a scholarship. The scholarship will be presented to Iowa high school seniors to be used for their first year of education on the college level while pursing programs of study in any field of conservation or agriculture.
This scholarship is available to all students residing in Keokuk County. The Keokuk County winner will be presented with the $500.00 Virginia F. Striegel scholarship and second place will receive the $250.00 Keokuk County SWCD scholarship. The winning County application will be forwarded to Regional competition. The selected regional winners will receive scholarships ranging from $500 to $3000.
Students may pick up the application and guidelines from the Guidance Counselor or FFA Advisor’s office at their High School or the scholarship application is online at http://cdiowa.org/get-involved/scholarships. Friday, February 9, 2024 is the deadline to submit their completed application to the Keokuk County SWCD office at 607 East Jackson Street in Sigourney.
