Sydney Sylvester

Sydney Sylvester is a Pekin graduate in the spotlight this week. She is the daughter of Brad and Debbie Sylvester. Her siblings are Taylor, Brooke, and Alyssa Sylvester.

While in school she was involved in Basketball, Volleyball, Spanish Club, and was a Ruritan Rising Senior. She also worked as a cook at Chommy’s, and as a barista at The Sassy Sunflower.

What’s your favorite school memory or what will you remember the most? Graduating.

What’s the best and/or worst thing about being a senior? Leaving.

Which teacher or staff member has had the biggest impact on you and why? Mrs. Wittrock because she always cared about me and helped me do the best I could.

Advice to incoming high school freshmen: Don't procrastinate.

What are your plans after graduation? Going to Indian Hills to attend Nursing school.

What is one outrageous thing you want to try in your lifetime? Swim with dolphins.

If you could move anywhere in the world, where would you go and why? Niagara Falls.
