The Music of Chicago, Van Morrison and Blood, Sweat and Tears Coming to Indian Hills.
May. 9, 2024 10:13 am
The Brass Transit Authority (BTA) will perform a concert on Sunday, June 2 from 6:00 — 8 p.m. at the Marge Dodd Stage on the Indian Hills Community College Ottumwa Campus.
The Cedar Rapids-based BTA was the brainchild of drummer Dennis McPartland. The 9-piece band’s repertoire consists of jazz-rock/fusion tunes of the 1960s, ‘70s, ‘80s, and memorable Chicago songs such as Saturday In the Park, Beginnings, Make Me Smile, Colour My World, 25 or 6 or 4, and Blood, Sweat and Tears classics Spinning Wheel, You’ve Made Me So Very Happy, and God Bless the Child.
The concert is free and open to the public. Audience members are encouraged to bring a picnic and lawn chairs. In case of inclement weather, the performance will take place in Warrior Junction at the Advanced Technology Center.
