Washington Co. 4-H Poultry Pre-Fair Exhibitor Meeting to be Held

Washington County 4-H and FFA members involved in the poultry project are invited to attend a pre-fair poultry meeting on Monday, June 16, 6 — 7 p.m. in the basement of Dallmeyer Hall at the Washington Fairgrounds.

Topics will include how to select birds for showing, choosing the right class, preparing birds for showing (washing, insect control, etc.), proper handling of birds for showing, and equipment needed for the fair. The poultry superintendent will be present to answer questions and discuss any changes for the 2025 county fair. Both beginning poultry and experienced poultry exhibitors are invited. Parents are encouraged to attend. All age groups are encouraged to bring questions. This program is funded by Washington County Extension Council.
