Bev Conrad and Karen Neff, both of Wayland, were presented with the Leroy Meyer and Leland McCosh Awards from Southeast Iowa Regional Planning Commission recently.

Caleb Brose, Computer Engineering; Kathryn Pusey, Early Childhood Education; Christian Roth, Aerospace Engineering were all named to the 2014 fall semester Dean’s List at Iowa State University.

2005

Abby Roth, Ray Fear, Caleb Hudson, and Erica Hunt have been named students-of-the-month for January at the WACO Junior-Senior High School.

Travis Yutzy, son of Mark and Susan Yutzy of Wayland, is participating in the Goshen College Study-Service Team in Ethiopia during the spring semester.

Mindy Ann Davis graduated from ISU in December.

Bret and Kim Farmer are the proud parents of a baby boy. Matthew Ryan was born Jan. 19.

Tony Hooper was selected by the Iowa Football Coaches Association as a First Team All-Academic recipient for Class A.

Laverne Messer was installed as Worshipful Master at Adoniram Lodge #120 A.F.&A.M. January meeting.

Boun Lovan and Sarah Alden were married Jan. 7 at Cedar Falls.

Duane Alliman was honored for his 20 years of service as Parkview Home Administrator at a farewell dinner on Jan. 18.

Randy Morrow reported his car stolen while it was parked in front of the No Name Inn in downtown Wayland.

Susan Seberg and Mark Stalder were married Nov. 17.

1980

Bertha Wilson celebrated her 100th birthday. A five-generation picture was taken with her daughter, Anna Bates, granddaughter, Kay Rogers, great-grandson Dan Rogers, and three great-great-grandchildren, Michael, Brian, and Kimberly Rogers.

Christoper Tomas was welcomed into the home of Rick and Kathy Adrian on Jan. 20. Christopher was born July 22, 1979 in San Salvador, Central America.

Senior student Jo Marlay has been named WACO 1974-1975 Betty Crocker Family Leader of tomorrow.

Ralph and Nina McGuire were honored on their 60th wedding anniversary.

Faye Gerig, a student at Goshen college, will study in Belize.
