WACO’s Eric Davis qualified for the state wrestling meet in Des Moines.

Emery McGuire, age 77, of Wayland, died Feb. 14 at his home.

WACO student Matthew Dohlman excelled at National Youth Leadership Forum in Washington, D.C. Feb. 8-13.

1995

Jay Meyer, age 25, escaped serious injury when he lost control of his vehicle in the 1200 block of South Iowa in Washington.

Lucy Pagan, age 51, lost control of her vehicle on icy roads and slid into a vehicle driven by Timothy Widmer, age 43, of Washington. Pagan was transferred to Mercy Hospital in Iowa City for surgery on a broken ankle.

David and Tammy (Clark) Erwin are the parents of a girl. Joni Lynn was born Feb. 16 at Washington County Hospital.

Susan Edgar and Jeff Adix have announced their engagement and upcoming May 27 wedding.

Mr. and Mrs. George Unkrich will observe their 45th wedding anniversary.

1975

Robert Meyer is now with the Wayland State Bank as an agricultural representative as of Feb. 18, 1975. Meyer receive his BS in animal science and economics from Iowa State University and is a former assistant field serviceman for Yoder, Inc.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lyon celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with an open house at their home Feb. 9.
