Eric Davis brought home the State Wrestling Championship to WACO High School. Eric defeated Eagle Grove’s Kelby Ryerson, 3-2, in the 130 final match.

Joseph W. Alliman escaped injury from an auto accident on Hwy. 34 and 260th St.

Katie Dawn Boshart and Christopher David Noll were married July 10 at Sugar Creek Mennonite Church in Wayland.

An auction was held at WACO Elementary in preparation for the move to new classrooms.

Kerri Alvine, age 6, was a mascot cheerleader at the University of Iowa game against Indiana on Feb. 25 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. She captivated fans with her tumbling acts.

John and Andrea Bain are the parents of a new baby girl. Christie Jean was born Feb. 23.

Barbara Yutzy and Randall Miller were married Dec. 30, 1989.

Charles J. Turner of Wayland will celebrate his 80th birthday with an open house hosted by his children.

Michael and Barbara Rose are the proud parents of a baby boy. Nicholas Asa was born Feb. 15.

Rachel Wozniak and David Labounty were married Jan. 12 at the Wayland Mennonite Church.
