WACO Superintendent Greg Ray has told the WACO Board that he will be leaving WACO at the end of this year’s contract to accept the position of Superintendent for the Mediapolis School district.

2005

Colin Brose will compete in the statewide Invent Iowa competition in Ames on April 30, 2005.

Megan Niebuhr and Kyle Alliman have announced their engagement. Kyle is the son of Steve and Marian Alliman of Wayland.

Stephanie Messer, daughter of Gene and Darla Messer of Wayland, has announced their engagement.

Christina Custer, daughter of Richard and Jayne Custer of Wayland, has announced her engagement.

WACO received a $5000 grant to install new Follett Circulation System and online catalogs for the district’s two school libraries.

Jack Schrader was named head men’s basketball coach at Northeast Missouri State University, Kirksville. Jack is a 1971 WACO graduate.

Katie Marie was born Feb. 22 to Marc and Carmen (Leichty) Benson.

Lori Lynn Roth and Thomas Eldon Yousey were married Feb. 24, 1990.

Tammy L. Mohr and Charles J. Gibbs were married March 31.

Ray and Velma Wyse are observing their 60th wedding anniversary.

Lori Troutman and Jeff McGohan, WACO senior basketball players, have been chosen to participate in the Harold Tackleson Scholarship basketball games March 31 at Burlington.

Rene Raquel Gray and Wally Unkrich were married March 16 in Washington.

Jessie Marie was born to Ron and Mary Griffith on March 26.

Robert L. Wheeler, age 49, was killed in an auto accident near Otley Sunday night.

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Farley are the parents of a baby boy. Thomas Michael was born Feb. 26.

Allan and Barbara Smith are the parents of a baby boy. Jeffrey Allan was born April 1.

Randy and Kathy Seberg are the parents of a baby girl. Kimberly Ranae was born April 2.

1975

Carol Jean Watson and Roger Laverne Rose were married March 22.

David Parker, son of Mrs. Lucy E. Parker, graduated from recruit training at Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, Illinois.

William Henry Nofzinger, age 85, died March 27 at is Wayland home.

1965

The Standard Oil Station in Olds was broken into during the night Sunday and $20 was taken from the cigarette machine. Two cans of motor tuner was also taken.
