S.D. Garretson, of Jackson township, has long been a believer in soy beans, and every year he has sold out completely all of the seed of the Mongol variety that he produces. People in his neck of the woods are beginning to have a lot of faith in his opinion about soy beans as he receives many requests about the best varieties or hay, or hogging down so to satisfy himself he has ordered seed of nineteen different varieties and will try them all out side by side, making careful observations about the way they stand up, how high they grow, how the pods retain the beans, the late and early maturing varieties and the yield. Next year, Sumner will be a regular encyclopedia on soybeans. If anyone wants to know something about varieties he should go and see this patch and get the right information on soybeans from out section from Sumner Garretson.
