•Richard Magdefrau has retired from Frito Lay after 35 years, and Albert Rich has retired from Henry County Highway Department after 27 years.

•Gerry and Lois Klopfenstein have opened a bed-and-breakfast in Wayland.
•Joyce Roth was named new Director of Nursing at Parkview Home.
•Gertrude Rinner Boese, 85, died Nov. 29 at Moundridge, Kansas.

•Wayland State Bank presented “seed money” for Parkview Home’s Expansion Project.
•Sheriff Ken Krabill announced his retirement as of next year, effective Dec. 31, 2004.
•Raymond and Mildred Long will celebrate their 68th wedding anniversary.

•Brandon Grieser of Wayland participated on the Coe College football team last semester. Grieser is the son of Doyle and Barb Grieser.
