•Brent and Tara Yoder are parents to twin daughters. Jaden Ruth and Sydney Elena were born March 22, 2004.
•Susan Chance, ARNP, will be serving the Wayland Clinic and the Winfield Community Clinic.
•Richard Doonan, age 50, of Bard City, was injured in a one-vehicle accident on Hwy. 78 east of Wayland near the “S” curves on April 9.
1999
•Lisa Sonius, bride-elect of Jeff Meyer, was honored with a bridal shower at the Wayland Mennonite Church on April 10.
•Buena Vista University guard Landon Roth of Wayland was voted unanimously to the Iowa Conference First Team for men’s basketball. Roth, a junior and third year letterwinner, was voted MVP by his teammates and was on the All-Iowa Academic Conference Team as well as GTE Academic All-American as a second team member. Roth is an accounting major.

•Darin and Caren (Reschly) Roth will be spending a year in Germany with the International Program with John Deere.
•Gary Lee Eichelberger, age 43, died April 13 at Hesston, Kansas.

•Randy Morrow, Mark Garrett, and Marvin Stauffer received safe driver awards from Yoder, Inc.
•Edward Schantz was honored for his 90th birthday.

•Howard and Mary Bean are parents of a daughter, Amy Marie was born April 13.
•Duane Peterson won the use of a new Case 2094 tractor for a year in a nationwide contest. Lynn Richard, salesman for Case in Mt. Pleasant, delivered it.
•Lillian Holmes, age 84, died April 10.
