A large crowd attended the benefit held Nov. 15 at the WACO High School for the family of Sal Brown. Saleum (Sal) Brown, age 44, died Sept. 28 from injuries suffered in a car accident. He is survived by wife Trudy and three daughters.

Travis Yutsy, of Wayland, served on Goshen College’s Student Senate for the 2004-2005 school year.
Four WACO vocalists were accepted to OPUS Honor Choir Festival — Hannah Marlay, J.D. Coakley, Ryan Poe, and David Woods.
Mary Margaret Bean, age 53, of Wayland, died unexpectedly on Nov. 12, 2004, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.

Jeff Sinn, age 15, of Wayland, escaped serious injury when the vehicle he was driving went out of control, became air born, and landed in a ditch.
Rebecca Leigh was born to Lt. Charles and Leanne Brockway on Sept. 16.
Army National Guard Pvt. John W. Edwards has completed basic training.
Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Sinn are the proud parents of a baby boy. Bruce Ryan was born Nov. 19 in Washington.
