Two of the columnists for the Clarion, Marty Rickard and Loree Roach, recently received Master Columnist awards given by the state association. “We have tried to provide a good community paper for Richland, Packwood, Ollie, and Brighton and trust that the towns will continue to be well-served by the consolidated paper,” he said.
Dinsmore commended the efforts of Karen White, managing editor of the Clarion since Feb., and her staff for their dedication in producing a quality newspaper for the communities served by the newspaper. Hodges had indicated that the present office of the Plainsman will continue as the Richland office of the newspaper. The Clarion’s offices at Packwood and Brighton will be utilized by the paper.
