40 Days for Life comes to successful close

Jefferson County Right to Life would like to thank everyone who participated in the 40 Days for Life Campaign ? from March 9 through April 17. These 40 Days were a time of prayer and fasting to end abortion. During this time the lives of 483 unborn babies were saved from abortion by sidewalk counselors who were praying in front of abortion facilities. We know our prayers, added to those of the sidewalk counselors, are very powerful!

We also thank 1st National Bank for allowing us to use their lower level meeting room as a place for the community to come together for silent prayer.

Our Celebration of Life on April 10 at the public library was well attended. A heartfelt thank you to our two speakers, Dr. Donal Hill and Pastor Jim McGaffey, whose message was well received.

We want everyone to know Jefferson County Right to Life plans to participate in the 40 Days for Life Campaigns, which are held twice a year, in hopes that many more lives will be spared and many people will be spared the heartbreak of abortion.

During this most holy of weeks, we pray that our nation will become a culture of life!
