Fairfield 1st Fridays Art Walk is grateful to everyone who participated in this year?s ?Harvestfest? themed Art Walk. Despite the rain early in the evening we had a good turnout on the square!
A HUGE thank you goes to our September Event Sponsors, Radiance Dairy and Hy-Vee. Their sponsorships were a perfect match to this month?s theme!
Attendees enjoyed the fabulous lineup of talented musicians: Bad Hat, the Fairfield All Star Jazz Band and All Souls on Deck. Attendees also enjoyed a free hay wagon ride courtesy of Radiance Dairy, a vintage tractor display, fresh farmer?s market produce courtesy of local farmers and Hy-Vee. On display were also the creative results of a watermelon carving contest of which award winners were all from Indian Hills Community College. We also had a great ?dish?play of creativity with our Harvestfest Tablescapes. The Tablescapes was a one night exhibit that celebrated the dining experience, Fairfield-cultural-community style. A dozen artists created dining Tablescapes in any theme they wished. Some of the artists featured included: John Stimson, Judy Bales, Karin Hauring, Cindy Travers, Deanna Julsen, Sandy Stimson, Marilyn Todt, Kella J. Tschopp, Bridget Ware, Noelle Boucherle and Holly Moore.
A very special thanks goes to Art Walk?s hard working board members: Alan Shank, Amy Megrath, Dee Dee Banks, Keith DeBoer, Christina Hamm, Jillian Philips, Novena Cole, Tim Hawthorne, Susan Noll Thicke, Sheila Peck, Tammy Shull, Steve Smith, Mark Soth and Randi Troutman who put in a lot of time and energy in volunteering for this Art Walk.
We also want to share our gratitude to all the volunteers that came to help and support Art Walk last Friday. A big thank you goes to the following people: Rosie Witherspoon, Arpita Vats, Ben Heitman, Cooper Rose, Daniell McEvoy, Derek Philips, Holland Webb, Jeffrey Webb, Holly Jeffrey, Joanne Grigas, Lauren Schaeffer, Lucinda Goodwin, Obie Cole, Rahul Vat, Rick Peck, Robin Wymer, Ryan Troutman, Simon He, Thom Banks, Tim Tedrow and Rodney Tedrow Your help made an incredible difference!
We are always looking for volunteers for Art Walk. This is a great opportunity for individuals, service organizations and businesses to come and support our community by making these events bigger and better. So please don?t be shy, contact us and volunteer! It?s a great way to socialize, meet new people and support your community all at the same time! Art Walk is for EVERYONE so be a part of it and volunteer!
Final thanks go out to all of the businesses that are sponsoring and supporting Art Walk. Because of your contributions, we continue to move closer to our fundraising goals. We encourage local companies and individuals to keep supporting Art Walk because when you support Art Walk you are supporting the entire community.
Last but not least, Fairfield 1st Fridays Art Walk wants to thank the community as a whole for attending this Art Walk and all other Art Walk events. Without your community support, Art Walk would not be what it is.
