Beautification Commission honors Fairfield Diner with Rose Award
On June 8, 2024, the Fairfield Beautification Commission presented the Rose Award to Fairfield Diner at 50 N. 28th St.
“We are honored to recognize the excellence in renovation in a short period of time that was done to the old Hacienda building,” stated beautification commissioner Yenifer Jimenez. “The baskets with petunias they have all over made a beautiful curb appeal.”
Shefki Mehmedi purchased the former La Hacienda building on April 1, and began renovating it to turn it into a new restaurant, Fairfield Diner, which he opened a few months later. Mehmedi previously managed Riverside Family Restaurant III in Fairfield.
