The Carnegie Historical Museum of Fairfield, Iowa, wishes to announce the names of the new officers of the board of directors.
Installed at the board meeting on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 were: Jason Strong, President; Russ Cooper, Vice President; and Laura Franklin as Secretary. Laura Franklin and Ariel Sewall are new members of the board of directors.
Jason and Russ have been members of the board for the past year and have been actively engaged in projects at the museum. They will assume responsibility immediately as David Neff, president and Sheri Blough Neff, director, have completed their terms on the board.
The Carnegie Historical Museum board has watched over the past years as the attendance has continued to grow under the guidance of Museum Director Jake Schmidt and his associate, Charlotte Wright. In 2023, there were over 5,000 visitors to our museum and as new displays continue to be formulated, bus tours from out-of-town and class reunions continue to be booked for gatherings.
