Central College celebrates undergraduate research and creative inquiry

Central College hosted the Celebration of Undergraduate Research and Creative Inquiry event to showcase the many projects by Central students during the 2023-2024 academic year. The event included in-person honors and senior presentations, poster sessions, performances and exhibits.
The local participants were:
David Burnett of Fairfield. Presentation title: Identifying Nitrogen-Fixing Bacteria in the Rhizosphere of Purple Prairie Clover and Beefy Breakout.
Sophia Fritz of Brighton. Presentation title: Postpartum Depression: Negative Effects on a Child's Behavioral Development.
Kaylee Peiffer of Packwood. Presentation title: Storybook Magic.
Carson Zeitler of Milton. Presentation titles: Kinesiology Department Instagram Page.
Jack Johnson of Mt. Pleasant. Presentation title: Do economic or societal factors impact literacy rates? An analysis using WorldBank data.
Nathan McWilliams of Mt. Pleasant. Presentation title: Synthesis of Carboxylate-Substituted Indirubins.
Anna Venenga of Washington. Presentation titles: The Luminary of The Rhein: Hildegard of Bingen's Unapologetic Insistence on the Female Experience of God.
