The ups and downs of daily life can be transcended weekly by singing in a choir. There is nothing like the unity that is formed in moments of singing together in harmony with a common purpose to create beauty and upliftment through song.
Shifting one's focus to choral singing weekly is a grounding experience that anchors a person more deeply into their own self and provides a break from daily responsibilities. After singing, one is uplifted and refreshed, and better able to resume their challenges.
In singing together in community to create a product worthy of performance, individuals work together, breathe together, strive for artistic beauty together, and in so doing, create a oneness of purpose that is inspirational and fulfilling. Camaraderie and good feeling are generated in the supportive singing environment.
Research shows that all aspects of life are improved by singing regularly in a choir. Consider adding the power and joy of singing in harmony to your life by joining a choir.
The Chamber Singers of Southeast Iowa begin their 35th Anniversary season on January 29. Call for more information 641-919-1952.
