Jefferson County Farm Bureau Women
The Jefferson County Farm Bureau Women will meet at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Riverside Family Restaurant III.
Roll call response will be education and people of Portugal.
Sharon Brown will present a program about geodes.
Fairfield Women's Club Garden Department
The Fairfield Women's Club Garden Department will meet at 9 a.m. March 7 at the McElhinny House.
Following coffee and rolls, a program will be presented by Taylor Trudell, an ISU horticulturist at the Jefferson County ISU Extension office.
Jefferson County 4-H Youth Committee
The Jefferson County 4-H Youth Committee is hosting a pasta dinner from 5-7 p.m. March 9 in the Cambridge Learning Center on the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.
The menu includes spaghetti, chicken Alfredo, garlic bread, salad, drinks and desserts.
Carryouts will be available.
A freewill donation will be collected for the dinner. The funds will be used for 4-H programs and events.

Wine, Girl Scout Cookie pairing event set
BATAVIA - A Wine and Girl Scout Cookie Pairing event is planned 2-3:30 p.m. March 9 at Cedar Valley Winery in Batavia.
The cost is $25. The proceeds will be used to help raise funds for repairs and upkeep of the Fairfield Girl Scout Cabin in Old Settlers Park, adjacent to Waterworks Park.

Relay for Life plans annual Daddy Daughter dance
The Jefferson County Relay For Life Committee will be hosting its Annual Daddy Daughter Dance 6-8 p.m. March 9 at the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center.
The theme this year is 'Daddy Daughter Date Knight.” Girls are invited to bring their knight in shinning armor and dance the night away.
The event will include a photo booth, cookies, punch and water, door prizes and a raffle. Raffles include: a family pack to Blank Park Zoo; two 20-punch passes to Fairfield Park and Recreation Department's Roosevelt Community Recreation Center, two $50 gift cards to Fun City; and several Walmart gift cards.
All girls will receive one free ticket to the raffle and additional tickets will be available for purchase at $1 each or six for $5, 15 for $10 and 40 for $20. Additional ticket purchase is recommended as girls will put their tickets in the container for the items they want to win, giving them the opportunity to win multiple items.
Tickets are available at the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center or www.FairfieldACC.com for $30; each additional daughter is $5. Tickets at the door are $40, and $5 for each additional daughter.
