Decision-makers should ask questions
To the editor:
Hats off to Mr. Nelson.
We need more people like Mr. Nelson to ask the questions that should be asked. I don?t see Mr. Nelson as being too negative, I see him as being concerned.

Hats off to Mr. Nelson.
We need more people like Mr. Nelson to ask the questions that should be asked. I don?t see Mr. Nelson as being too negative, I see him as being concerned.
It sounds like the board is trying to silence Mr. Nelson because they don?t agree with him. Do we still have freedom of speech? Does the school board care that their decisions are putting a burden on a lot of people? Do they think that people are so ignorant they will believe anything? Are they trying to paint a rosy picture of our local economy?
Why are we paying people to do studies on projects? We have all kinds of knowledge on the computer. If our school board members, county supervisors or anyone else can?t make decisions on their own, then we need to change the people in charge.
I?m not saying all our school board members or county supervisors are making bad decisions. It?s just the reasonable ones are in the minority.
When someone tells me that projects are not going to cost the taxpayers any money, then I say, ?Where is the money coming from?? If you say it is coming from a government grant, then I say, ?Where does the government get their money??
We need responsible people to make responsible decisions.
