Fairfield Area Community Theatre to hold auditions March 23-24 for June musical ‘Oliver!’

Calling all theater lovers! Fairfield Area Community Theatre is excited to hold community-wide auditions for its June musical production of “Oliver!” based on the classic Charles Dickens story.

Auditions will take place at the Fairfield High School Auditorium on Saturday, March 23, at 3 p.m., and Sunday, March 24, at 3 p.m. (Pick one.) Performers ranging in age from second grade to adult are needed for 17 principal roles and the ensemble, which includes orphan kids, crafty pickpockets, street merchants, barroom dancers, and more! Production dates are June 13-16, most likely at the Fairfield High School, and rehearsals begin in early April.

Want to help behind the scenes? This is a huge undertaking and much help will be needed from across the community! Join the fun and assist with costumes, set construction, backstage crew work, “child wrangling,” or as an assistant to the director.
