Fairfield arts center to host ‘Irish Christmas in America’ on Nov. 25
The festive season is set to become a Celtic celebration in Fairfield, as the acclaimed holiday show "Irish Christmas in America" sweeps into the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center on Saturday, November 25. Bringing together some of Ireland's top musicians, singers and dancers, the enchanting show dives into the rich tapestry of Irish music and tradition, providing a warm and magical kickoff to the holiday season.
Back in the US for an incredible 17th year, this heartwarming show has won praise from both critics and audiences alike. Irish Music Magazine describes it as "captivating", Folk Wax praises its "lively and reflective" nature, and the Irish Echo hails it as an experience "full of exceptional music and dance, relaxed good humor, and interesting historical commentary."
Joining the tour this year is Caitríona Sherlock, one of the finest new voices from Ireland. She will grace the stage alongside renowned musicians including fiddle maestro and show producer Oisín Mac Diarmada, and talented instrumentalists on flute and uilleann pipes — providing a truly authentic Irish experience.
Executive Director Lindsay Bauer can't emphasize enough the opportunity this performance offers: "These are absolutely some of Ireland's top performers, and it's a joy to see them at work. These are pretty big names in Irish traditional music. It's amazing to have the opportunity to see them live right here in Fairfield."
