Fairfield arts center to show documentary ‘Kinnick’

The Fairfield Arts & Convention Center will host a showing of the film “Kinnick” from 7-8:30 p.m. Sunday, June 18 as part of its Cinema Fairfield series. The price of admission is $6.

According to the FACC website, the film tells the incredible story of Nile Kinnick, child of the Depression, winner of the Heisman Trophy, and pilot in WW2. The story of a man becoming myth unfolds in cinematic detail in this feature documentary, revealing what pushed a young man from Adel, Iowa, to reach ever higher and ascend to the realm of legend in the minds of sports fans across the nation.
