Fairfield Beautification Commission bestows Rose Award on three people
On Aug. 6, the Fairfield Beautification Commission presented Shirley King with a Rose Award for excellence in landscaping. She was nominated by one of her neighbors who really enjoys seeing the pretty colors in Shirley's garden.
King lives at 701 E. Madison Ave. in Fairfield, Iowa.

On Aug. 7, the Fairfield Beautification Commission was able to present two houses on the same street with the Rose Award.
What made the event extra special was that the two recipients are mother and daughter. They both are very proud of the work they have done, and we are proud to have them in our community.
The daughter is Meghan Robbins, who lives at 300 E. Harrison Ave., a newly built and breathtaking house with amazing landscaping design.
The mother is Debbie Dowd, who lives at 100 E Harrison Ave., whose interior was recently remodeled.
The Fairfield Beautification Commission takes pride in the hard work this mother and daughter duo have put into this community.
