Fairfield chamber to host Treasure Hunt Weekend

The Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce will host the Fairfield Treasure Hunt Weekend on Friday and Saturday, July 29-30.

The chamber is publishing a map showing the participating stores, restaurants and garage sale vendors for sales and treasure finds.

“Find the pirate’s missing garb in participating businesses and post a selfie with it; don't forget to include the hashtag,” said chamber director Mendy McAdams. “Post pictures and selfies on social media for the #fairfieldtreasurehuntweekend, for your chance to win chamber bucks. Watch for my pirate friends in town on Friday. Get a photo with one of them and earn a chance to win the big prize!”

Chamber bucks will be awarded for best selfie, the most selfies and other categories.

Hours will vary by individual participating location, but may range between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. for the 29th and 30th. Hours for locations will be listed on the treasure map.
