The Fairfield Cultural Alliance is sponsoring an effort to keep our City Parks free of litter pollution. They are calling on artists, amateur and professional, students and adults, to design and illustrate signs based around a choice of three slogans. You can create full art with your choice of slogan, or just the illustration and indicate to which slogan it applies.
To find out the slogans and get full specifications concerning size, shape, deadlines, and other information, email FairfieldCulturalAlliance@gmail.com asking about the Clean Parks Sign Project.
Designs and illustrations will need to be submitted by April 1, 2022.
The FCA will choose up to 12 designs for the signs that will be posted near trash cans in Central Park, Howard Park, Waterworks Park, and Chautauqua Park. The goal is to have the signs produced by the end of May 2022.
Local businesses that want to help with the cost of producing the weatherproof signs can make a tax-deductible donation, and be recognized on a finished sign.
Artists whose sign design(s) are chosen will be recognized with their name on the sign, and public recognition in the media. They will also get a modest gift card, the satisfaction of a clean city park, and the community-wide appreciation. By working together, we all will get a better city in which to have fun!
