Fairfield High School FBLA competes at Districts

Fairfield Middle School was the site of the FBLA District competition on Saturday, Jan. 27. The results were very promising as several Fairfield High School FBLA members finished 1st or 2nd in their respective contests.

The top 2 in each category qualified for the State FBLA conference March 24-26 in Cedar Rapids.

The Fairfield students who are advancing to state are as follows:

Broadcast Journalism

1st place: Valerie Hernandez and Emma Septer

2nd place: Samu Shrestha and Tula Sortflaten

Graphic Design

1st place: Tara Carter and Sofia Eisenbraun

Introduction to Business Presentation

1st place: Mareyn Dunkin

2nd place: Faith Jones, Maddy Martin, and Lauren Martin

Introduction to Public Speaking

1st place: Kayla Karangi

2nd place: Caroline Van Pelt

Introduction to Social Media Strategy

1st place: Arissa Pohren and Abigale Taffesse

Job Interview

2nd place: Lilly Bergren

Public Speaking

1st place: Samu Shrestha

2nd place: Chloe Frescoln
