Fairfield Kiwanis donates to child care center
Scott Willman, president of the Fairfield Kiwanis Club, presented a check for $12,000 to Joshua Laraby, representing Jefferson County Kids, during the club’s meeting Wednesday.
The donation will go toward the construction of the new day care center Jefferson County Kids is planning on Libertyville Road west of the Jefferson County Health Center.
The Fairfield Kiwanis Club was successful in its last two large fundraisers this year, Kiwanis Kids Day and registering campers at the Old Threshers Reunion in Mt. Pleasant.
The Fairfield Kiwanis Club is a civic organization that focuses on kids.
