Fairfield library to host Foreign Affairs Roundtable Saturday
Oct. 20, 2022 2:56 pm
Drone strikes. Martial Law. The threat of nuclear attacks. What, exactly, is Vladimir Putin’s end game?
If you’re looking to go beyond the evening news on key international issues facing America, please join John Beghtol for Foreign Affairs, a monthly roundtable discussion at Fairfield Public Library.
On Saturday, October 22, from 2:00-3:30 pm, the group will be discussing “The World Putin Wants: How Distortions About the Past Feed Delusions About the Future” from the September-October issue of Foreign Affairs Magazine.
Authors Fiona Hill (Senior Fellow in the Foreign Policy Program at the Brookings Institution) and Angela Stent (author of Putin’s World: Russia Against the West and With the Rest) go in depth on what motivates Vladimir Putin, what it means for Ukraine, and the potential long-term impact on the United States and the West.
Please register (limit of 10) and pick up a copy of the article at the Fairfield Public Library front desk Saturday.
The Foreign Affairs Roundtable will meet Oct. 22 in the Fairfield Public Library.
