FAIRFIELD – Tammy Dunbar is the Owner/Broker of Fairfield Real Estate and leads a team of seven additional agents and an office manager.
The business is in its 55th year in operation, having been founded by Paul and Avis Madden in 1970. The agents in the company are Dunbar, Lisa Murguia, Loren Town, Beth Alonso, Doug Alexander, Lisa Moseley, Amber Lyons, and Jim Horras who has been selling real estate nearly 50 years. The office manager is Sue Frisbie.
In addition to residential sales as well as commercial, farms, lots and land sales, Fairfield Real Estate also does property management and farm appraisals.
“We are a full-service brokerage,” Dunbar said. “We specialize in residential as well as commercial and farms.”
The business has been in its current location on the south side of the square for 43 years. It had previously been on East Broadway Avenue in the office now occupied by Edward Jones Financial.
Fairfield Real Estate serves customers not just in Jefferson County but in every contiguous county and beyond including Van Buren, Washington, Henry, Wapello, Lee, Davis, Keokuk and Mahaska counties. Many of its agents have taken additional courses to achieve special designations to help their clientele even more. Dunbar also mentioned that community involvement is important to Fairfield Real Estate and its agents since many of them are active volunteers and serve on civic boards.
Dunbar is in her 29th year in the real estate business. She said she’s proud to lead a business with the rich history of Fairfield Real Estate, and that she looks forward to serving the community for another 55 years.
