Fairfield Rotary names scholarship winners

Fairfield Rotary Club has announced the four Fairfield High School students who have received 2022 Rotary Scholarship Awards.

The four students are Kelsey Pacha, Brynley Allison, Tess Paton and Carter Thompson. The scholarships are $2,000 each and can be used towards any university, college or vocational school that the students choose.

“When choosing our award recipients, we look for students who not only excel at school and get involved in a variety of extracurricular activities, but we also look for those with good character, who do a lot of community service, are dedicated to helping others, and who have good communication skills,” said Beth Alonso, Fairfield Rotary Club Scholarship Committee Chair. “Other things we take into consideration are the students’ future plans and financial needs, checking to see who has already received many scholarships before making our final decision.”

Alonso said she thanks the Fairfield Rotary Club members for their dedication and service to make these scholarships available every year, and thanks the Fairfield community for supporting the club’s annual fundraiser events.
