Pence Elementary School in Fairfield will host an art show featuring artwork from students in grades kindergarten through fourth Saturday and Sunday, April 6-7.
On Saturday, the art show will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. On Sunday, the art show will be open from 1-4 p.m.
The art show promises to be a treat for your eyes with a space theme as this year’s theme is ”Pence is out of this world.” The children have made planets out of paper Mâché, stars, aliens, paintings, Picasso masks, landscapes, cityscapes, portraits, and many are painted with neon colors. The public is invited to bring flashlights and phones, and blue plastic will be provided to make your phone or flashlight into a blacklight.
There are also to be cutouts and many photo opportunities for you to peek through and become a part of a famous painting! Don’t miss this chance to be the Mona Lisa, or the people in American Gothic, or to be pictured in a spaceship or alien spacecraft.
For this show, the halls of Pence elementary become a virtual showroom, as does the gymnasium and art room. Don’t miss this opportunity to see artwork by our FCSD kids!
