Fairfield Fire & Rescue reports the following:
Thursday
8:17 a.m. - The department was on standby for a confined space entry in the Walton Lake No. 5 Lift Station at 2256 Walton Lake Road.
1:23 p.m. - EMS assistance was provided at 400 Highland St.
6:07 p.m. - The department responded to a truck fire on Highway 34, eastbound past Exit 210. The fire was out upon the department's arrival. The engine was cooled down. The cause is undetermined.
