Foreign Affairs Roundtable set for Feb. 24
Feb. 16, 2022 12:24 pm
Do you enjoy connecting with others about international relations? Consider engaging in lively Foreign Affairs Roundtables.
On Thursday, Feb. 24 from 1:30-3:30 p.m., participants will gather in Fairfield Public Library’s meeting room, or attend remotely via Zoom. This month’s featured article from the Foreign Affairs Magazine is “Xi Jinping’s New World Order: Can China Remake the International System?” by Elizabeth Economy. Economy is a Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University and the author of The World According to China.
Each month, the articles provide background about a current international relations issue affecting American foreign policy. Discussion is moderated by John Beghtol, Iowa’s former history teacher-of-the-year and a member of the Academy of Political Science.
To ensure that everyone can be heard, group size is limited to 10. Register for this free session and receive a complimentary copy of the articles. The library can accommodate in-person attendance for up to six people in the Meeting Room, and will host the event via Zoom for those who prefer to attend remotely.
Call the library’s front desk to register: 641-472-6551 ext. 2.
The Foreign Affairs Roundtable will meet Feb. 24 in the Fairfield Public Library.
