Former Fairfield resident Gerry Ogle publishes book

Former Fairfield resident of 30 years Gerry Ogle has published a book.

The book is called “Kurt’s Awesome Surprise,” and is available on amazon.com. It is listed under Ogle’s pen name, Aurora Chante.

Courtney, one of the main characters, has a brother named Kurt. He embarrasses her on a daily basis, with his inconsiderate, unattractive, and mannerlessly behavior.

Courtney wants him to change, so she comes up with a plan to teach him his manners easily and effortlessly.

Delight in the journey Courtney takes to teach Kurt the fundamental concepts and principles for living in a cultured way according to proper etiquette. In beautifully rhyming words, this book teaches important rules and lessons in life.

Miss Gerry, who uses the pen name Aurora Chante, is a spontaneous writer, teacher, and communicator. A teacher by profession, she has a degree in Elementary Education. She taught 2nd grade for nine years and did substitute teaching in K-12 for six years. She grew up in Great Falls, Montana, the Big Sky Country.

After many years of teaching school, she learned the Transcendental Meditation Technique at Stanford University. Soon after, she went to Teacher Training in Lucerne, Switzerland, where she became a T.M. Teacher.

She then went to MIU in Fairfield to study, teach, and work in the administrative area.

Miss Gerry saw the need for more polite behavior in society and decided to write an etiquette, manners, and poetry book for all to learn from and enjoy. She used her knowledge from the Science of Creative Intelligence at MIU to write her book.

In the art of good etiquette, the French word means prescribed behavior.
