Help build a Homegrown National Park

A Zoom presentation last month by Doug Tallamy (author of Nature's Best Hope and Bringing Nature Home) has created a local groundswell of enthusiasm for his mission to regenerate biodiversity right in our own yards, by planting native species. This interactive presentation will be led by horticulturist Steve Taylor (head of SEISC's Rewilding Team) along with Dan Sears (of the NRCS), Diane Porter (of Birdwatching.com), and Kevin Andersen (private Lands Biologist with the Iowa DNR). Participants will receive information on which plants are native here, their characteristics and suitability for various settings, and where to buy seeds or plants.
