Dr. Brian Marovets is accepting new patients

FAIRFIELD — Jefferson County Health Center (JCHC) has welcomed a new physician to JCHC Clinics in Fairfield. Brian Marovets, M.D. is a board-certified family practice physician and will begin seeing patients on Monday, June 13, 2022. He comes to JCHC from Williamsburg Family Medicine Clinic and offers primary care services for men, women, and children.
“I chose to become a family doctor because I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives, and wanted to get to know patients on a long-term basis,” said Dr. Marovets. “It is great to care for a child as you see them grow into adulthood, or help to congratulate someone on their retirement after serving as their provider for 20+ years.”
Dr. Marovets chose JCHC because of the opportunity available within a smaller community. “I grew up in a town of 300 people in northeast Iowa,” he said, “I’m drawn to rural, community medicine because you can make a lasting, positive impact on the people that live and work in the community.”
Bryan Hunger, JCHC CEO, said the physician search committee was highly impressed with Dr. Marovets’ qualifications, and knew he would be a great fit within the clinic and for Jefferson County.
“When we select a new family practice physician, one of the most important things is the community and culture fit. We want the provider to be just as excited and passionate about caring for a rural community as we are,” said Hunger. “Dr. Marovets has that passion and mindset.”
Dr. Marovets feels that his diverse professional background will help him build strong relationships with patients. He grew up on an Iowa farm, served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy, and had a previous career in engineering with John Deere. In addition to his medical degree, he holds advanced degrees in mechanical engineering and business administration.
Dr. Marovets will be available for appointments now, and will be available Monday-Friday. To schedule an appointment with Dr. Marovets, call JCHC Clinics at 641-472-4156.
