Jefferson County Trails Council holds Volunteer Day

The Jefferson County Trails Council sponsored a yearly trail volunteer day on May 31, in honor of National Trails Day. Coordinator Stephanie Wharton was assisted by Rhonda Wharton, Ennis Neff, Emily Tracey, and Ron Blair.

Vehicles and equipment were loaned by Dr. Bill Pollak, County Conservation, and Fairfield Parks & Rec Dept.

Volunteers did weed removal, sign cleaning, touched up bench stain, and general maintenance work.

Sisters Maggi and Sue Hall, Fairfield natives, were back in town for the trails council's Volunteer Day while visiting their brother, Mark Hall, residing at The Oaks.
